A sinkhole engulfed road, sidewalk, power lines, sewer pipes near Myrick Park.

Fallen trees are among the problems that need solving as clean up continues in La Crosse from the storms overnight Wednesday.

A citywide brush pickup Monday is being planned by the city. It’s asking to have no longer than six-foot sections out on the boulevards by 7 a.m.

The city has also closed hiking trails and streets around the giant washout at the corner of Park Dr. and North 23rd St. in La Crosse.

Pavement, sidewalk, sewer pipes, and power lines were all engulfed by the sinkhole near La Crosse’s Myrick Park.

Elsewhere, in Vernon County, they’re dealing with close to three dozen road closures.

In Monroe County, State Hwy. 27 was closed Thursday and families were evacuated because of high water.

Families were also evacuated in Sparta, Arcadia and Ontario.

More flooding is expected today with heavy rains.
